The University of Vienna has opened two new alumni chapters in Los Angeles/ San Diego and New York City. The Los Angeles / San Diego Alumni Chapter was established on April 20, 2022 in Los Angeles and celebrated during a happy hour hosted by the Austrian Consul General Michael Postl. In attendance were Alumni Association President Hannelore Veit and the Rector of the University of Vienna, Professor Heinz Engl.
In New York, Consul General Helene Steinhäusl hosted a reception and happy hour at the Austrian Consulate General on April 25, 2022, where alumni could mingle with like-minded peers in the presence of Ambassador Martin Weiss and University Rector Heinz Engl. Christine Marizzi was designated as the head of the New York Alumni Chapter.
